Significantly, the younger Indians seem to be under attack in Australia.

The markers on older Indians, read established people who carry some marks
of integration into the larger society, are not being attacked.

What makes younger Indians stand out and be targeted?

1. They tend to be in a group.
2. They might be speaking in their own tongue.
3. Being students they may be loud and animated.
4. Overall in a socio-anthropological sense, they may send out signals 
of an alien group.
5. They may also be projected as the group who will soon take over jobs, 
homes, space.
