Well a nation of 350,000 Fiji-Indians might not be of much help to a
nation of 1 billion.  But nevertheless, Fiji Indians have maintained a
good trade with India.  We have bought a lot of things from India-from
groceries to movies to vehicles.  Even firms have accepted Indians as
expatriates.  What Fiji products are available in India?

Now if I were to ask you the same question, how would you answer it?  What
help have the Indians given us so far?  Maybe you are also not aware of
the Kargil fundraising in which Fiji Indians participated.  In Australia,
(and specifically Brisbane) the population of Fiji-Indians is larger than
the Indians from India.  But the two groups jointly raised money for the
Kargil fund.  A function was organised in which members from both the
communities participated-as audience, donors, and artists.

That time money was needed by the families of the Kargil martyrs in which
we helped.......but anyway, you need not pay us back by helping us in
need.  But whenever there is a need for such activities again, Fiji
Indians won't look at what India has given us (which to date is nothing!),
but will continue their duties as Indians, even if rejected by the
Indians.
