Hi Imran,

First of all I don't know whether u can call Badla as a derivative. It is 
not an instrument which is traded. It is just a mechanism which allows u to 
carry ur trades fwd.

Both BSE and NSE r introducing Stock index futures from 9th and 12th June 
respy. U cud visit their sites and get info on both these instruments. these 
r the first formal derivatives introduced in India ( apart from the forex 
mkts ).

I don't know how Matka operates.

Besides there r also commodity futures in place for trading in foodgrains 
and agricultural produce.
