Dear Mr.Mahesh and Fellow Nukkads,
I was a bit overwhelmed by your reaction on this issue.
I am my self very much against capital punishment being given to
criminals. As you rightly said "we have no right to take away what we can not
give".
But way u mentioned the words "McVeigh merely bombed a building, with
no intention to kill any one in particular. " causes a bit of concern.
He aimed at killing people ,thats it.THATS AN UNPARDONABLE CRIMINAL
act.ANd the words "merely" seems like it was a small case of robbery ort
something.
Can u for a minute imagine ur self to b one of the a near and dears
of one of the 168 ppl killed out there.Wld u have the same thgts as u ahve
now.Wld u still say he is a mrtyr of sorts.
With due respect, i feel it is people like u who kindle the flames
of voilence in young minds.
And as far as your words of "Had he been a political or legal heavy
weight, he might have thought of non-violent options. " go.As far as my
knowledge goes even MKGandhi wasnt a "political heavy weight" when he
started the noble cause.
You just cannot justify voilence as a way of making point known to
people.

        Regards,

        Guru
