Day. Finally in 1966 President Lyndon Johnson signed a presidential
proclamation declaring the 3rd Sunday of June as Father's Day

Many Catholics call St. Joseph's Day, on March 19, Father's Day, because
Joseph was the father of Jesus. But most people celebrate a more modern
version of Father's Day.

It is interesting to note that American President's decree overrides even
religious faith / precedents! Long Live the President! May His Majesty
invent more days of celebration so that Florists, Greetings Card makers &
Gift shops flourish  more and more all over the world.
