Re: [nukkad] IT workers still in great demand in the US

Hello Nelson and fellow Nukkads,
the news that u sent was very heartning for a person like me in the IT
industry. But how much of it do u think is right.Just for the sake of
comparision, the same time last year I had been flooded with job offers from
all the parts of the world in genenral, and US in specific. But I c the
situation has changed so drastically that I find ABSOLUTELY no ads leave
alone job offers these days. And on top of that I find that not only in US
but also in India companies are laying people off. With all this going on how
does any one expect to make his/her carrer in the IT?
Of late there were a lot of people who came up to me asking if they shld
do some computer course that cld give them some job.The only advice I can
give to the young budding individuals whose ambition is to make a carrer in
the IT (read "make money") please go over the pros and cons. Its not worth
taking the risk. And i think the good sense wld prevail and u wld stick to
your line rather than making a carrer shift.
This is completely my point of view and am sure not all people will
agree with this.No hard feelings,

    Regards,

    Guru.
