THE BULLY-FATHER'S DAY

Not every father is worth dedicating a day to, unless we are again in
chronic denial. There are fathers who bully their children and terrorize
them with threats and ultimatums and physical and mental punishment.

Who creates them? Usually their mothers who lick and their despot fathers
who kick.
Who sustains them? A sick society which haunts it's children and straps it's
youth.
Who justifies them? Orthodox religion arbitered to the father figure with
laws and dictums complete.
Who perpetuates them? Wives who are sycophant mothers, who whine and
complain but never protect.
Who glorifies them? Legend and story and the screen and ballad and theater
and scripture and fable.

What damage do they perpetuate? Physical and spiritual terrorism,
traumatizing tender children.

Are they ever held accountable? Never, they go unpunished to their graves,
glorified in myth.

So what can be done about this? Gee, what else, lets create a Father's Day!
