No, Shrivastava, you are not being oversensitive. You are just being
sensitive to your sorroundings, which is a healthy sign. There are some who
are insensitive. we can pity them. But there are others who choose to be
insensitive, because that way their conscience seemingly does not give them
pin pricks for bartering their self respect for a few more dollars and
gadgets in exchange for being servile to foreigners than be of service to
their own country men who, albeit, can not pay at the same rate for their
services.

Sorry, if I sound caustic. But this is not an attitude of saying sour
grapes. I did have my immigrant visa to USA [I applied because so many of my
friends applied] in 1973, but I chose to stash it away. Till today I have
never regretted my decision. I have been to usa and other countries about 10
times since, in scientific meetings etc., and stayed upto 6 weeks at a time
in usa and 15 months in Guatemala. I can only echo your views. I would not
say people in the west are any worse than us, or we are any better. But, as
some one said [was it Rudyard   Kipling ?],

The east is east and west is west,
and the twain shall never meet.

Or, to use an apt parody,

Men are men and women are women
And the [minds of the]twain shall never meet.
