In Singapore, an SBS bus driver (Chinese) refused to turn onto Serangoon Road on a
Sunday because “Indio’ bunch like insec’ cross stree’ no discipli’ah!”
No Chinese maid will ever work for an Indian family, money is irrelevant when it
comes to racism!
The rudeness meted out to Indian shoppers by Chinese shopkeepers in Hong Kong and
Singapore is now legend.
I’d like to know if anywhere in Hongkong, Taiwan or Singapore, any Indian has ever
had a pleasant dialogue with a Chinese stranger.
The only non-rude Chinese I have encountered have been in the Netherlands where
isolation lowered the barrier of hostility.
