dear kapil

i respect all religions and faiths in the world including hinduism. but does
respecting hinduism mean that cows become sacred to me also. lets look at
this in a different manner. we believe that pigs are the filthiest creatures
on earth. but can we tell others not to eat pork just bcoz we don't eat it.
no dear...its our faith and we are supposed to practice it not others. we
can not enforce our faith on others.

i quoted the report coz it was from an independent authority FAO (and not
from muslims or hindus) and not to shut anyones mouth.

YES  - At least "WE" should if not you.

Majid,

I asked you if we should campaign against cow
slaughter, and you responded by saying [the obvious]
NO.

You even put forth a report to shut my mouth. You've
put it in such a way that if cows are not slaughtered:
humans are in trouble.

At the time of Independence Mahatma Gandhi had to
attend a meeting in which the issue of cow slaughter
was to be discussed, but, however, Mahatma felt that
he shouldn't press the Muslim community on this issue
and they themselves should stop it. In the meeting a
senior Muslim leader said that they would stop cow
slaughter. Days passed, and as usual they did not live
up to their word.

As I mentioned in my previous email, Muslims have
never really "respected the Hindu faith". Your faith
asks you to slughter cows and eat their flesh; our
faith asks us to treat them like our mother. The cow
ploughs the land and we get the food; it gives us milk
just like our mother does. I do not, however, want to
talk about the statistics. Where there's a will,
there's a way. If we want to, we can take care of the
cows.

But, nevertheless, you have proved once again that you
will never respect someone else's faith.
