PRUDE.

The culture which created Kama Sutra and Khajurao wont allow
kissing on the Indian screen.

You see thighs galore and cleavage to spare, heavy duty hips, most
passionate lips, very suggestive shakes and breaks when dancing,
but when it comes to kissing, directors slide over to clouds, flowers
or running water.

What can this be other than an empty phobia, a senseless ritual
carried over from the silent film days?

This can also be seen on Pakistan screen, and as well in
Iran, Egypt and Arab lands. 

Meanwhile almost anything else is on display.
