Hi Kapil,

It is sanskrit.

you must have heard Vandana, it is a prayer. Vande is "I Pray"

ma: is mother.

mataram is some grammatical form of mother. sanskrit is very particular
about it. It has different formation of masculine, feminine, neutral,
singular, duo, plural etc.

vande mataram means I pray you, O mother(land)!
