However, I forgot > the name - it is a very easy name to remember and If you are talking about Dioxin, it does not naturally occur in eggs. It is created as an unplanned and unwanted byproduct of metal smelting, pesticide manufacture, and all types of incineration (medical, solid waste, and hazardous waste). In 1997 the US Food and Drug Administration found high levels of dioxin in chickens and eggs from some producers. The source of this dioxin was a contaminated soybean-based feed produced by two companies. These two companies supplied this feed to about 350 poultry farms which resulted in dioxin-contaminated eggs. All of these producers were banned from selling their products till they were certified to be safe. All other producers had to get their products tested too. If you are talking about some other protein, please let us know. I could not find any other mention of a harmful protein occuring in eggs. - 'shal -- http://www.mumbai-central.com : Where Mumbaikars meet ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ To unsubscribe, use the form at: http://www.mumbai-central.com/nukkad/#options This list is archived at: http://www.mumbai-central.com/nukkad/archive.html
