Hello Gang,

Here is a small poem that a friend 'K.R.Iyengar' wrote. I got this from
another mailing list (Dhinam Oru Kavithai, a list for people interested in
Tamizh poetry) which I am a member of. The poem was originally written in
Tamizh and then translated into English! I hope the author doesn't cry
looking at my translation!

I wanted to post it on this list because we have been having difference of
opinions and in the process of proving ourself right or trying to defend our
opinions, ideas and tastes we end up asking the others to 'shut up'. When I
read this poem two days ago that is what I remembered, so here it goes.....

I like roses,
My wife jasmine,
And my friend chrysanthemums.
To like flowers 
based on our taste is not wrong...
But, 
why ask the plant not to bloom? 
In the roses offered to God,
sometimes,
there might be thorns...
About that,
God never bothers..!
