[nukkad] MyNameMeaning - Asha's Thread

----------------------------------------------------------------------------
The happiness of life is made up of minute fractions--the little,
soon-forgotten charities of a kiss or smile, a kind look or heartfelt
compliment. -Samuel Taylor Coleridge, poet (1772-1834)
----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Per Asha's desire >

MyName AmirAli or AmeerAli

Amir : (arabic noun masculine) commander; chieftain; ruler; governor; a
rich man; a grandee; a nobleman. this is as per dictionary.

btw, in gujarati, hindi, it is mostly used in the sense of a rich man.

the film song, "aye ameero ke parmeshvar, ... "

some common words starting with Amir:

Amir-ul-bahar meaning Admiral - in 20th century dictionary in
the
etymological note for admiral it was mentioned that this word is derived
from amir.

amirzaadah = nobly born; a prince; son of a wealthy man.

        Amir -ul-mulk = Governor-General

Amir-ul-mominin = Commnander of the faithful; title of Caliph.

'Ali : (arabic adjective) high in rank; eminent; noble. (noun masculine)
Son-in-law of the Holy Prophet, and the forth Caliph. again as per
        dictionary.
Note, this word 'Ali does not start with first letter of alphabet alif
but starts with a latter letter called 'ayan, and in English it is
        written as 'a.

superlative of 'ali is a'alaa meaning most high;
like superlative of kabir (great) is akbar (most great or greatest).
-------------

Sincerely :) Ameer ~* 'Ali
