There is also the case that Americans (generally speaking) mean well. 
But the government in place and some of the people in power do NOT 
necessarily mean well. Such a possibility is always there - especially 
in a Presidential form of government where the people elect the 
President - but s/he (although there has yet to be a SHE - but I 
digress) chooses advisors and puts people like Rumsfeld, Wolfowitz and 
*gasp* Cheney in places of power that is scary.

The war in Iraq has been proven - to a large extent - to be nothing more 
than a son trying to salvage his father's face - although it could 
easily be construed to be a weak President being manipulated by the 
three I mentioned above to get unfinished business taken care of.

All in all - it is a case of disgrace - and I hope Bushman meets his 
nemesis in Kerry.
