I say all this not cos I am pro-american BUT because I would like to see
things from an unbiased outsiders viewpoint.

*********************************************

1. The image of a prisoner with underwear over his head

arouses more sympathy and anger because it is testimony tp perverse and
depraved and continuingly and persistently demeaning mwentality of a
supposedly enlightened people who have flown thousands of miles away to
commit acts of naked and illegal aggression upon a people who have committed
no crime, but are falsely and meanly accused of WMD. The dramatis personae
in this act are living characters. On the other hand, picture of a headless
civilian arouses much less emotion than nauseating revolt. Death is
universally every day fact of life; putting female underwear over heads of
robust males, confined naked and paraded before laughing, smoking, jeering,
American girls aged 21 is not.

WELL WELL WELL just as I said. Excellent English and one which very nicely
says that the savage beheading of an innocent civilian is justified because
one day everyone has to die. In short stripped (forgive the pun) of the
flowery language all this means is that an educated person should not
torture a prisoner (not that I agree with the concept) but an illiterate
terrorist has every right to take away an innocent life. Maybe because he is
illiterate? Or maybe because anyway death had to come to that person so why
not die prematurely being beheaded in front of video cameras. His moment
under the sun. After all his name would other wise not have become
internationally known. Silly chap not to say thanks to his killers before he
died. Would the American soldiers be seen in a better light by you if they
had beheaded the prisoners instead of torturing them?

Dr. MCG have you ever been shot at? Has anyone tried to kill you trying to
do it so that you won't even be able to see him? Without giving you a fair
chance to even defend yourself? If such a person came into your hands what
would you do? Feed him your kitchen's best? Put flowers at his feet? Or
underwear over his head? I am not trying to justify the torture of the
prisoner's. But these prisoners are the people who have been ambushing
innocents. How many innocent lives (American and otherwise) have these
Islamic terrorists claimed in the last decade? They have been at war with
USA among other nations for over the last 8 years.

So its like it is indeed a crime to rob...but if you were to steal from a
thief's house I would probably look the other way.

2. If a judge pronounces sentence upon thief or murderer, he has to be

seen not as anti-thief or anti-murderer, but, as pro-justice, as long as the
judgment is pronounced after giving hearing to the concerned parties and in
accordance with law. I protest if those who criticize US are labeled as
anti-American. Those on the other side, including Cynthia, have been given
hearing. If they choose to keep quiet, or, merely mumble out: 'maybe'; 'just
my belief'; 'that is how I perceive it'; 'average American is a nice guy';
'I did not vote for bush'; 'everybody is entitled to one's views', etc.
etc., this cannot carry conviction with anybody. Cynthia is not an ordinary
run of the mill young girl who has to be treated with that extra tender
touch lest she get overawed or intimidated. I am sure as an attorney arguing
day in and day out for her clients and defending even the indefensible [as
we lawyers have got to do sometimes], filing a reply would be her second
nature. If a lawyer fails to file a reply to a plaint or suit, the judge has
to proceed with the case ex-parte. The onus is on others to refute evidence
and argument by evidence and argument, rather than impute motives of bias on
the part of the other party.

Comments denied....no concrete point made.
