1. "If one were to stare out of the window and was green outside, then you are 
in Kerala" thats how the legend goes, what the members of the Malayalee boards 
put forward at the time of State re-organization. They also used the term 
"Evergreen India", a phrase coined by Gandhi. Palakkad or Palaghat is green, TN 
pressed for KK. The legend still lives.

2. Originally a capital of Thiru-Kochi, Thiruvananthapuram, its residents and 
others concerned laid down the condition that they would join the new state, 
only if it retained its capital status. This is yet another legend. Bhopal has 
a similar legend.

I guess, they will continue to remain legends. 

Thumba Rocket Launching Centres, Vikram Sarabhai Space Centres, ISRO are all 
located at or close to Thiruvananthapuram. The very mention of the names of 
these places to overseas space scientists, makes them go green. No legends here.
