[nukkad] MTNL INTERNET PROBLEMS

Hi there, 

Sorry to bother everyone in the list, but this message is basically for Mumbai
members. 
Has any of you taken Internet connections from MTNL. recently. I have got a new
connection two days back, but am not able to log on. On dialling & autentication
of password etc,after the "verifying user name & password" dialog box, another
dialog box appears stating " The computer you are dialling into cannot establish
a Dial Up Networking connection. Check your password & then try again"  

Has any of you come across such a problem? Any suggestions? There is no response
from the supposedly 24 hrs helpline of MTNL (no. 1600222444) (That's service for
you!!!) I have come to know of another person having similar problems. 

If any of you are in the process of taking a new connection from MTNL, think
again. All their advertising hype seems to be a lot of hot air.
