hi everybody
this is a genuine request and no fraud involved
i know the persons involved quite closely and can vouch for them
-sundar

Hullo Everybody,I , Usha Iyengar, am writing to you about one of our students
Vijay Keerthi who is a student
of Atomic Energy Central School Mysore
studying in Class/Grade VI. He is a brilliant chess
player and a bright
student, a real asset to the school. He has consistently scored an
A*
(90%and above) in all his year end exams so far. He is the son of Mr.
Krishnamurthy,
a Tradesman (Scientific) at the Rare Material Plant of the
Dept of Atomic Energy here
at
Mysore, with a monthly income of around Rs. 6000/-

Vijay Keerthi has shown great promise in the game of chess as the
records(attached) will show.
He plays for Karnataka State and for the AEC
School. But it involves a lot of expense (list
attached) just to play at
the State level
not to mention the others.

The state funds allotted for chess do not
reach the boy obviously due to corruption. The school
foots the travel
bills for Vijay Keerti only, not the guardian. Friends and well wishers have
helped the
boy whenever needed so far.

His parents have done their best and
utmost to help him progress in the game. He has to partici-
pate in many
tournaments to gain experience in the strategies and intricacies of the game.
He is
not
able to enter some tournaments due to lack of funds.

You could help by making a small contribution.
He needs your
help in the following areas:
1. Funds ie.Rs 50,000 to buy a Laptop
computer(with 124MB RAM) to use at the tournaments as
his second.
2. Funds to buy a chess clock costing around
Rs. 3500/-
3. Someone to sponsor his expenses for any State or National
level
tournament.
4. Someone to sponsor the expenses for the summer coaching
camp eg: The Woodricke Internat-
ional Chess Coaching Camp
conducted by Russian grandmasters at Calcutta or
other cities.
That would cost Rs.5000- 6000.

All this is
needed for a couple more years till he reaches a National Level No: 1 or Asian
Level
No: 1. Then any company ie PSU's
& MNC's will take care of his entire expenses.

You can send your cheques to him directly under the name Vijay
Keerti(with a copy to me about the amount on the email for my information) as
he has a bank account No: 13033 at State bank Of India , Kuvempunagar ,
Mysore, India. His
address is

Master Vijay Keerti,
S/O A. Krishnamurthy
No: 1, N
Block,
Adichunchungiri Road,
Kuvempunagar,
Mysore -
570023
India

You can write to me for any further clarifications or make any
suggestions about how best I
go about helping him. Vijay Keerti will
personally reply & thank you.
