You guys have stilled missed many of the greats like Raj Kapoor and
Hrishikesh Mukherjee.

They are not of this generation but still have left a mark and their movies
are still widely watched.

Then there is also Shyam Benegal who work has always been outstanding but
who till now has yet to make that one film which will bring him worldwide
frame.

What about Vijay "Goldie" Anand ? 

And directors from the South, Adoor Gopalkrishnan and Shaji. 
Since it is the best "Indian" Film Director I think excluding Satyajit Ray
is also a big crime.

But I guess we are discussing the current crop of driectors.

Out of the 10 below If I had to choose three they would be Shekhar Kapoor,
Subhash Ghai and Ram Gopal Verma.

I choose Kamal Hassan to be the Best Indian Actor of all time
