Arya :Where is the seed of cancer in the Indian soul?
Indira Re : Object to the use of word cancer - cancer is not synonimous with sin
or death.

Arya :Why are half billion kept across a wall and not allowed in?
Why are daughters valued less than sons?
Why is pati a parmeshwar even when he is a lout?
Why are there a dozen deities and no godliness in sight?

Indira Re : Fully agree that women being mothers should be respected more. All
that is past and gone. What we need to do urgently is to give access to women to
atleast minimum education wrt health, sanitation, family planning and welfare.

Arya :Are we pretending that no bride burns because of Manu?
That we have no segregated bustees created by Manu?
That the mother is less than the son because Manu says so?
That millions clean our offal because Manu said they should?

Indira Re : Why only Manu - People from many other religions are well known to
keep their women in Purdah and humiliate them by their personal laws.

Arya :Cannot a Shudra go to battle and a Vaishnav clean our toilets?
Cannot a Harijan tend Ram and a Kshatriya clean out the streets?
Cannot a Brahmin clean the slaughter house and a Shudra the temple?

Indira : Re : at one time it was generated for occupational convenience but then
became a social set up.
We still have workers, staff and managers in office parlance - dont we. so long
as we forget the differences once we are out of our place of work it is fine
Once again the rich has always dominated the poor, the strong the weak and this
will always go on. Whether Hindus, Muslims or Christians or any other religion.
