I'll still settle for what I wrote before as re-thinking, in these times it
is best to await irrefutable data before making an opinion or setting course
to right things. In effect this reinforces the notion that there are people
out there bent on scientific misinformation.

misinformation + zeal + religiosity = the bad guys win
