Who is to blame? If one concocts something as all-abiding as God, people are
bound to get restless if they think there is some other thought that doesn't
gives credence to their form of divinity. If divinity keeps stemming from
the visions of Gods and "the books" there shall never be peace. People
aren't developed enough to be honest to themselves. They aren't secure
enough to not distrust any other line of thought.

Doctor saab, by what you suggest, the present form VHP has taken is due to
actual and active motives. If that is so, it's just another organization, it
will pass. Still, my feeling is, it is the inherent insecurity of human
beings that is prompting them to act in such an insane manner. Then, we
don't have the solution as easy as barring an organization. So, what's the
solution? As you suggested, in last, I agree, condemning caste and religion
politics would do a great deal towards the achievement of this end. My
question is: Is that all? I doubt.

To me, it feels, the need is to instill a sense of pride in every individual
in their gift of humanity and in their sense of belonging to the great
nation: India. Any form of divide is bound to bring some form of voilence or
the other, because of the insecurity in the mind of people of various sects;
even if it is voilence of thoughts, not physical voilence, voilence would be
there. So, we can only limit its effects, which is possible if the people
are held together by an even greater force.

People have suggested that the concept of nationhood is synthetic. Same,
about religion, other forms and ways by which people define their belonging
to a particular group. The point is, it works. And, we don't fix what ain't
broke. Let religion be, let the nation be, but make sure the truth, the only
definable truth stays: Humanity. It is as simple to understand and as
difficult to implement.

Let us try.
