---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Without darkness there are no dreams. -Karla Kuban, novelist ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 5 ways to help children out with their homework: 1. Budget one hour of your time everyday for your children no matter what. Preferably, the phone, nor the TV nor the Video should look on, when this hour comes on. 2. Make sure that your children do not spend unwanted time on extra-curricular activities such as drama and music classes. There has to be limits for everything. 3. Once you have have laid out the groundwork for how and when the Homework is supposed to be done, then all must stickto this. 4. Do not let your ego come in the way of your child’s education. For e.g. if your spouse is much better at teaching Mathematics than you, then there is no point in your interfering. Everyone is good at something or the other. 5. Just in the unlikely event that both father and mother are unable to provide assistance on a particular subject, then make sure you call up either the Teacher or the child’s friend. IN any case, let not pride come in the away of knowledge acquisition. -- __________________________________________________________ Sign-up for your own FREE Personalized E-mail at Mail.com http://www.mail.com/?sr=signup ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ To join/leave, use the form at: http://www.mumbai-central.com/nukkad/#options This list is archived at: http://www.mumbai-central.com/nukkad/archive.html
