[nukkad] Sunday meeting

Dear Friends,

The members who met on Sunday 9th March 2003 in honour of Shyami's Mumbai
visit were the undersigned, Hiroo, Akshay, Azim and Shyami.
Venue: Dadar TT
Time: 1.30 p.m. to approx. 4.00 p.m.
Snacks at: Cafe Coffeebar, next to Pritam Restaurant, Dadar (E), Mumbai 400

Account in brief:
By now, the veterans of the Mumbai meetings have been nominated: Azim and
Taher have attended all the three meets: the first one last year at Barista
at Bandra, where Ravi Menon, Mubashir, Nelson, and the two of us attended;
the next one was a month ago, where Hiroo and Vaibhav joined us and Nelson;
and now this one, with Shyami joining us.
=Azim and Akshay(akkiboy) sparred well: the former ridiculed Akki for
confusing him with Samridhi (zaveriji, please note)
=Shyami and the gang hit it off well. Shyami is absolutely nice, lively,
jovial and can take barbs and light inneundos very well indeed!
=Hiroo was calm, decent and entertaining as usual;
=Taher tried to gaud Akkiboy when the latter took a spoonful of "jootha"
dessert from the former's glass, saying" DEkh bhai, Mussalman ka jootha kha
rahe ho" or something like that, but Akki is very sporting, and very
different from the e-image he seems to portray!
=The girls were so-so, the food okay, and far cheaper than at Barista or
Subway, where our previous two meetings took place.
=Photos taken , will be posted whenever Azim gets time to scan and post
them.
=Shyami apparently was to bring a box of chocolates to the meeting, but
forgot them at the host's place where she is sitting
=Azim got a jug full of Shirkhurma for Shyami. We never tasted it, so let
Shyami tell us how it was
=We tried to tell Azim to join back at Nukkad( he is currently unsubscribed
following the message questioning his patriotism a while ago), and he might.
