Yeah, the thread started off with someone asking for recommendations
for vegetarian restaurants and quickly degenerated into a debate on
the pros and cons of such a diet. The person who posted the above
stuff was basically making stuff up to make a point. I don't think
anyone believed him (at least I hope no one believed him) but his
specific mention of S. Indians vs N. Indians intrigued me.

The comparison is unfair, because he seeks to compare the Vegans of the
south with non-Vegans of the north. Only the likes can be sampled out
for a compare. He should have compared the vegans of south with the vegans
of the north and then established his findings. Obviously he has faalen to
the temptation of what is called ' fallacy of the sampling in statistics.'
