Re: [nukkad] Rerun : Verdict is Yours : 6

Infinitely more pertinently - who really cares? NOBODY.

Life is cheap on the subcontinent - kill one and we'll make more.

I'll give you an example (unfortunately for all the US haters, it is
US based - but I am sure similar examples can be found in other parts
of the world).

Here, if someone falls on the tracks or falls from a train (whether
local (subway) or medium distance (NJ Transit) or long distance
(Amtrak)), there is usually an investigation into the incident
involving the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) and trains
on that track are delayed considerably. The errant train is usually
delayed for at least 4-6 hours. The unfortunate engineer (engine
driver) usually gets psychological counselling.

In Mumbai, by contrast, we have a few deaths EVERY DAY in the suburban
services. Most of them are either due to people crossing the tracks
without looking or being hit by something while they are dangling from
the train. How long does the investigation last? How long are the
trains delayed?

Life is cheap on the subcontinent - kill one and we'll make more.
