[nukkad] The New India

Hi Everyone,
            Just as I put down the March 6th 2006 issue of Newsweek
Magazine, I pick up my thoughts with, abated breath,  to write on
nukkad, that it was so good a feeling to read about the almost-made-it
prospective prosperous prospects (phew !) of India.
Many of you must have already gone through all the articles on India
in there, this week. India seems to be the flavor of the week. Local,
national and Indian news covering the Bush visit, local and syndicated
television channels discussing India as, 'India Rising' in the morning
shows. ( you can imagine my not so good gleeful, feeling when ABC
showed the interview this morning with the Indian author of 35=10,
which translated to an IQ of 35 year old American equates to 10 yr old
Indian. They have a weekly theme on, about India rising starting
today.
Coming to Newsweek, please read the articles with pride, they are well
assessed and researched.
In Newsweek article, again called, India Rising,  Author Fareed
Zakaria, words so well in first para on Page 36 the crux of the why
India-missing-top-slot reason.

And you guessed it, no one else but 'the ruling'.
Can make thesaurus terms for them: politicians, parliamenterians,
powerful, government, thugs, crime-unions.

All of the statistics were nice to know but for the only bad taste
left behind which was 'the ruling'---true, true, true and cant miss to
mention.

Had a very pride-filled day when colleagues waved the magazine in front of me.

And the only place where I can share that feeling, with joy or fights,
happens to be nukkad.
