Before anyone is from any community Mr. Karelia they are human. The
same blood in their veins flows in yours and mine. Why would they be
different. If you can dispel this thought from your mind and heart
that they are a "community" the world will suddenly be a whole lot
brighter.

1. Any biologist/anthropologist/geneticist will tell you that there are real
differences between genetic markers of different communities. All blood
being red is over-simplification. That is not to say that one blood is
redder or better than another.

2. There is nothing wrong in the statement that Hindus and Muslims and Sikhs
and Christians are different communities. The word community has a definite
meaning in sociology and that definitional meaning is not violated by
Karelia's statement. He need not 'dispel this thought from his mind'.
However, if anybody wishes to dispel it from his heart, he is welcome to his
heart's desire.

3. Even if Karelia dispels the belief from his heart that muslims are a
community, the situation in the world will not change. The Mecca will not
cease to be venerated by about 36% world population; the world islamic
organizations will not cease to exist; the Saudi Arabian brand of Wahabi
Islam will not stop its efforts to get entrenched in every Muslim; the
international chain of Al Qaida will not get nullified; Pakistan will not
stop in its attempts to be the spokesman of the muslims in the world; the
global cartoon incidents or their likes will not become a thing of the past;
the shia-sunni divide will not end.

Why pick on poor Karelia? Why miss the wood for the trees? He is not even a
tree, but a mere tender sapling!
