Hello Dr.M.C., My Computer ... on the menu go to tools ... Folder options There in View Tab Remove check mark from "Hide extensions for known file types" This is now only useful here but the most notorious problem in Windows. I could send you a virs exe file with an icon like notepad and you would double click it thinking it was a text file. Extensions in my opinion should ALWAYS be visible.
