I doubt if 'normal' legal systems are applicable here. The guy was not legally supposed to be running naked on a cricket ground where he had no business to be even in clothes. So as such he was in violation of rules. And CA is claiming that Symonds "was dealing with self-preservation which we support 100 percent". Besides the man had been drinking. Considering all this I for one would love to represent this man in court if I was a lawyer :) And Ravi, I do not think that man was very far from Symonds when he was brought down. All it needed was a step from Symonds and a shoulder lunge. > Ref: > > If and I repeat IF the streaker is fined by Cricket Australia for > pitch invasion, the only offence that was committed, he can, then > sue Andrew Symonds for assault. > >>> The IF is not needed. If he wishes, he can still sue for >>> assault.
