Hi
  I suggest YWCA (Phone no. 022-22020122). It is economical and clean, and 
therefore usually booked.  Advance booking *and* advance payment is necessary.  
Prices range from Rs 1000/- onwards.  WSeveral visitors to my office stay there.
   
  Other hotels like Godwin, Supreme, Subah Palace etc are also in Colaba (south 
Mumbai), and price ranges from Rs 3000/- onwards.
