HINDOOS-- Dissect and criticise their faith and often contradict
co-followers of their faith. Usually tolerate criticism, even insult, to
their faith.

MUSLIMS--It is blasphemy, punishable by death, to dissect and criticise
their faith. Rarely contradict co-followers of their faith. Never tolerate
criticism, even insult, to their faith.

WOMEN--Often the worst torturers of other women.

IAS & POLICE OFFICERS--Always save their colleagues, even though guilty of
criminal acts.

DOCTORS-- Often criticise other doctors and almost never support wrong acts
by other doctors.

CRABS (allegedly of Indian variety; statement not validated)-- Do not allow
other crabs to rise up. Always pull down those who attempt to rise higher.

UK & US--Society too much individualistic and litigation prone to asser
their individual rights.

COMMON LAW COUNTRIES--Have adversarial system of justice. Judge is not
pro-active and rather plays passive role. That is why the imagery of a blind
lady. The field is left open to the two adversaries , usually through their
advocates. Law and its interpretation are rigid and not alterable by the
courts. The doctrine of stare decicis or precedent is basic, binding and
ever enforceable.

SOCIALIST COUNTRIES--Judiciary often plays pro-active role, putting
questions to the parties and even, maybe, conducting investgation on its
own. Judges prone to interpret law as per changing social and political
norms and patterns. Precedent not binding.

JAPAN--Emphasis is on arbitration, rather than litigation in courts. Society
frowns upon and avoids litigation.

MUSLIM LAW--Sharia is probably the only law in modern world which almost
follows the system of an eye for an eye and allows stoning to death and
public decapitation and honour killing and even "honour rape". [ A village
Sharia law administrator in Multan, Pakistan, had ordered mass rape of a
woman, and it was duly carried out. This was international news about 2-3
years ago]. Under Muslim law, a man's testimony can be countered only by two
women, each woman counting as equal to half a man. When a woman complains of
rape, she has to prove her charge by producing 4 male witnesses who actually
saw the rape being committed. If she fails to get such witnesses, she is
accused of bringing up a false complaint and is condemned to flogging].
