Shashi Tharoor has been out of the country far less than you were. But that
is neither here nor there.
Mob behaviour is as old as society. But this where the mobs are led by
political sloganeering about social issues is very recent.
If as you say the Rajputs would have protested many years ago, there have
been many a movie that was released which went through without a protest.
