True, these volumes are autnored by famous historian R.C.Dutt and edited by
A.V.Williams Jackson.

Romesh Chunder Dutt enjoyed the patronage of Gaikwad state of Baroda
and is rated as one of the best Indian historians of Indian history among
the likes of J.N.Sarkar, Mazumdar etc.

Dutt's narrative English is very much in mould and meter with the noted
Indian
authors of the English language of his time, Gokhale, Lajpat Rai, Nehru
