I beg to differ. A Happy marriage is NOT simply a non-unhappy marriage (if you will pardon the two negatives). 

When you have an unhappy marriage - you have (potentially) identifiable symptoms. And who knows, some adventurous people might even hazard dreaming up some cures. 

However, a HAPPY marriage is something that will most definitely include love between the two partners. Otherwise they might as well be cohabiting (much like the Western world has live-in partners) for mutual convenience.

And simply because two partners fight - one cannot call their marriage an unhappy one. Fights are part and parcel of marriages - whether happy, unhappy or simply marriages. 

Whenever I find a couple that has no fights, no tensions, no differences of opinion - I would suggest there are some deep underlying problems. And what we are seeing is nothing but a facade.
