HAPPY MARRIAGE?

What beast is that?

Say an adventure. A challenge.

Of one knowing another. Of quiet respect, engendered safety,
supporting growth.

Quiet talks, calm understanding, mutual love, mutually enjoyed
sexuality.

When the both can sit in a place and read or think and not
need to talk, and an hour passes, they have arrived.

An energetic exclusion of sas, bahu, bahen, dadi, dada, baap,
bhatija. No, you are not wanted.

An assured and clear ownership of the wife of whatever home
is available. Her word is law.

All this and more, till the later years arrive, and grey replaces dark,
and white grey. Wrinkle, stoop, ache.

But the two love, hold hands, care.

When shadows arrive, he fights Death with bare hands and drives it
away!

And in all the Seven Universes, the gods and goddesses and demons and
sorcerers and fallen angels say, 

"Walk quietly by and leave them alone. They are Friends."
