Dear Gurunath,
This , perhaps is the best letter in Digest No. 202 of
Nukkad, folowed closely by Netgeek's dowry letter.
There is a story that made the internet rounds some
time back. It went like this:

A singing nightingale once got bit by an eagle in
mid-flight and fell to the ground in fresh elephant
shit. It did not die, but got buried in the wet shit.
The shit was warm, and loose, and the bird realised
that it could breathe, but it could not emerge because
of the weight of the shit upon it.
Presently, the bird began to like the cosiness of its
new position, and happily, it began to sing.
A cat was passing by; it heard the song, and came near
to sniff.The cat sensed prey: it dug its claws in,
pulled out the bird, licked it clean of the shit,
ptooed, and then ate up the bird.

End of story.

What is/are the moral(s) of this tale?

1.Life often lands you in deep shit.
2.When you are in deep shit, its not always that you
feel bad about it. You may actually become happy, and
even start singing.
3.It is not always true that someone who pulls you out
of shit is your friend; he/ she may be your worst
enemy, and may even kill you !
4.When you are in deep shit, and can't get out, it
would do you well to keep quiet; at least, do not
sing.
