===well i do not know.not so well read as aryaji,don't know what these people stand for.(oh, taliban,i have heard.)from the way he has commented,certainly not any thing flattering. most people think it is only fair to punish a misdeed and reward a good deed.i agree. if YOU do not,it is up to you.You are welcome to YOUR views,what can i say?

me, i am only a humble co passenger in this life's journey. no need to fly at me like this.i am only trying to discuss something. this forum i guess is mainly meant for this.that is my understanding.
anyway to answer your question:
i have seen in Tamil Nadu,in these two score years how the general morality of people has deteriorated.those days (just 40 years back!)most of the people feared GOD and were afraid of doing something generally accepted as wrong for the fear of GOD. after a very strong campaign by the so called rationalist movements, people seem to be no longer afraid (aryaji perhaps shd be pleased - only they exist- no one else-)and so would not stop at doing ANYTHING.now people are soooo unhappy and complain so much. they blame anything from the government to the weather as the cause of this.with out going into the question of whether GOD exists, i would say GOD is needed.if it is only fear of GOD that exists, so be it.in the interest of majority of people HE is needed. please understand that majority are simple people, poor, just earning enough to feed themselves. they are not capable or the time is not conducive for them to rationally think and be honest, truthful,hard working for the good of humanity.they have to think of their belly first.in their actions to achieve this, what will protect the rest of the humanity is only the concept of GOD, papa (sin) and punya.
