Asha, wait till you are married for 3 years. Then I will ask your husband whether he can get you to do something. Husbands and boy friends learn early in life that the only correct opinion and approach is that of the better half [they are not called better half for nothing!]. So, they pretty well realize that domestic peace lies in doing what the wife says, at the same time remembering not to ask her to do any thing. [she knows all that is necessary to be done, and is so busy doing this, without being ever reminded, that she has no time for idle male pursuits like political gossip, cross words, soccer, e-mailing etc.--- bet me, I am really serious here]. 

Why three years? Because, as per classical wisdom; In first year, the husband speaks, wife listens; second year, wife speaks and husband listens; third year, both speak/shout and neighbours listen. 

An alternative version is that in first year, she is chandramukhi; second year, suryamukhi; third year, jwalamukhi.

No offence meant. That is the way of all flesh/ all females. After marriage, the wife spends all the time trying to change the husband [and does succeed to variable extent]; the husband spends all the time hoping she would not change [ but the hopes remain what they are--- hopes]!
