A Small correction..

A Theist believes that there is God.
But the Atheist is not sure if there is one.. And doedn't want to believe in
something he has no proof of.

some time ago there was a discussion about whether GOD exists and there
were 2 distinct and diverse views that clashed on this list.

please note-both-the atheist and the theist have equal rights to express
themselves. None of them need to convince the other to change a belief.

The Atheist believes that there is no God
The Theist believes that there is God.

In a way,if you see, both are in the same boat.

Both are living on pure BELIEF.

By convinving a person to change his/her belief-one doesnt gain anything.
