 that shall indeed be a sad day. i believe if there is any community that
can be emulated then it is this particular one. they never let go off their
tradition n in fact non-parsis are not even allowed inside the fire temple.
had it been any other communitiy then by now it would have accrued the ire
of everybody around but not this particular one. by their progressive
non-interfereing n amicable nature they have won the affection of all
people.leading names in various professions are prominently parsi insptite
of being such a tiny community. never have i heard them having a fight with
anybody & never ever have i met anyone who doesnt admire this community.the
story goes that the islamic(who else) iranians persecuted them n they came
to india:gujarat(who else can be so accomodating).when worried about lack of
living space for them the king demonstrated how a small community can add to
the sweetness of the surroundings by adding sugar to a full glass of
milk.they have ever since proved this sugar philosophy true by contributing
to the society in as many ways as possible n never having animosity with
anyone at the same time holding on to their traditions.
