in upgrading the versions, the later versions have file called
install.rdf to handle entensions installation.
previously it used an install.js
you are backing up an older version with a utility meant for newer
version. so it is giving an error msg as it is not finding an expected
file.

the file comes with an newer version.
when you install the newer version it will be there.
use the software update feature in mozilla itself. (edit>preferences)
there should be no problems.
