Rags, -------------------------- ................Oh ! I envy you. Egypt has been a dream to go to ...to see the mummies and pyramids ..for real. :( But family does not concur with the dream location. Once when I won over....with threats.... the prices were exorbitantly high, that I bowed down. :( ---------------- If it was a personal trip then it would have been difficult to convince, tried earlier and nearly gave up! Then came this chance when my other half had to come here on a business trip! Thankfully the flight tickets were cheap as well, couldn't miss this opportunity, so even though I did not get my leave approved, I convinced my manager that I would work from Egypt, which is what I am trying to do now :)) and am here! Anand ---------- Hello Shyami-Ji Please put down your exp. about mysterious Egypt and its pyramids. Regards Anand Sancheti ----------- You can drop the "ji" :) I will definitely write in detail about Egypt! But to tell in short, Cairo feels like Bombay :) Alexandria is similar too, though I did think that at one stage it was more like Calcutta (specially with the tram, the crowd, etc). Everyone here knows about big B. They keep stopping on the streets to ask us "kaisa hai" and "do you know Amitabh" :)) The pyramids are quite close to the city. I went into one of the pyramids and I was amazed at the structure. From what I've read and heard, nobody knows how the pyramids were built. I still think there are plenty of treasures and information hidden in them! What amazes me is to know how advanced the Egyptian civilisation was 4000 - 5000 years back! ----------- she is already there and seen them too! syamie, your hand seems to make a camel's head in"The usual trick shot of trying to hold the top of the pyramid :)" ----------- Now that you say that TVji, id does look like that! Have a nice day -Shyami PS: I will send the links to the gmail id and everyone can enjoy the pictures :) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Letter writing is the only device for combining solitude with good company. -George Gordon Byron, poet (1788-1824) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ To join/leave, use the form at: http://www.mumbai-central.com/nukkad/#options This list is archived at: http://www.mumbai-central.com/nukkad/archive.html
