Re: [nukkad] zoke : rabbit and Tortoise

Rudra,

The punch line was very different than what I had expected. This made
the joke even better. Good one!

The joke was particularly funny because I have been living the tale -
not the joke, but the classic version. Ever since we read this story
at bed-time a few weeks back, my life is full of tortoise-hare races.
Of course, I am always the hare who takes a nap at an inopportune time
and loses the race. This happens about a dozen times every day. We
race for everything - going to brush teeth, while brushing, after
brushing, going to the kitchen, getting to the car, even going from
one room to the other. Like I said, everything! And I have to take a
nap. Every. Single. Time.

After being the hare too many times, I put my foot down and became the
the tortoise. Of course, now I was in a race with a hare that didn't
take naps. So I still lost every race.

We now have a couple of more twists to the classic race - we also have
races between two tortoises, one of who naps (guess who gets to be the
napping tortoise?) and between two hares with one of them falling
asleep in the middle of important races.

I love living in fairy tale land.
