Daya.

As this originates essentially out of an individual soul, it must manifest
with a distinct individual color.

To keep daya at its simplest, it is when in the enactment of a personal
agenda, one harms no one.

If the ones you interacted with, went a few paces in life with, at some
stage parted, they bore no mark of harm, hurt or denigration from you.

If there were someone you had to battle, by the force of circumstances,
and defeat, they would walk away with a sense of the noble, and say,
that this was a worthwhile adversary.

There is a rare word, I believe it is in Arabic, 'zeb', which conjures a 
vision
of the finest touch on the tapestry of the interacting human soul.

Daya then becomes less a religious or scriptural concept, and more a
way of unfolding your own inwardness, so that its texture, its warp
and woof, is seen and felt in the outer world.

There are some who even in their giving, which they rarely practice, do
so want to slime you, so denigrate and diminish you, that one comes away
wondering what beast lives in the shadows of their soul.

There are some who are incapable of the concept, leave alone practice, of
the zeb of daya.

And then there are those who you simply met on the highway of life and
said not a word, they would enrich you, and you would remember this 
encounter
for the rest of you days.

In ending, by corollary, one will mention those with whom one may pass half
a lifetime in close quarters, have not one moment to show for any worthwhile
exchange.

I call these the Shadow Souls, who by their very act of being somewhere,
will cause people around them to wish they were somewhere else.
