[This message contained attachments that have been removed.] Medical community today is losing respect in the society because it is not responsive to such incidents. Maharashtra Medical Association has an impressive building, as I observed during my meeting there in February. They have plenty of funds and members of repute. It and the IMA should investigate the deaths on their own. And, investigate impartially. Similarly, Maharashtra Medical Council should take suo moto cognizance of the three deaths and initiate necessary proceedings under the Medical Council Act. However, I shall be surprised if any one of the three agencies named takes initiative. Other platforms for filing a complaint [besides those mentioned above] are: Police; Consumer courts; Civil court; High Court; Human Rights Commission]. If anybody, nukkad member or not, is interested in being pro-active in this matter, I shall be willing to provide my expertise and services at highly concessional charges. I do not charge any fees for consultation by phone and e-mail if they pertain to medico-legal matters. It is a fact that when it comes to taking the bull by the horns [initiating action as per law against the alleged culprits], most people chicken out.
