[nukkad] Fwd: Cyclone

----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tip of the day: Re-use your plastic bags.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Just to give you'll a first hand exp. on the devastation in Orissa that took
place while we worried about the cricket match. Rakes is very good friend of
mine and half the people on this mailling list know him. This is tragedy to
the limit.

Sharad.

Hi Sarad,
Thanks for your concern.

The cyclone took everything from us. We lost almost everything. Our crop,
our farm house , everything is gone. 2 of the dogs are dead, two servants
are missing and 5 cars are completely damaged. My brother was missing for 3
days, his driver and car was found abandoned. However somehow he escaped and
drove to Raipur from there flew to Delhi. The worst was yet to come, my mom
gave shelter to some people living in the nearby slums. After the cyclone
was over they looted our house , they took everything, nothing is left , we
don't even have bread to eat, of course no power, telephone, and water. My
Bhubaneswar house is totally ransacked , only consolation is all my family
members are safe.My mom got a shock , she is in ICU. My sister who left for
India could not reach Bhubaneswar from Delhi, Now is safe with my
brother-in-law's relative in Sambalpur.

Bhubaneswar has become a ghost city, people say that more than 100000 are
dead. Yesterday I had a chance to talk to my Dad, he said he didn't asses
how much we lost, once my brother reaches Bhubaneswar we can have an idea.
At this point even I am not in a position to do anything, Anyway thanks
again for your gesture, I appreciate that.

Rakesh
