Hi friends,
This is something I would love to share with all of you. I am working in
Dublin, Ireland. Yesterday we went to Belfast in Northern Ireland as my
neighbour had discovered that there was a temple there. (there are no
temples in Dublin). On arriving at Belfast, and finding the "temple", I was
totally surprised. What I had expected to see was some nice little temple.
But what I saw instead was a huge church with a cross on the steeple. There
is no mistaking it. I was sure we were given the wrong address. And guess
what the temple was inside the church building. Looks like they had bought
an old church and made a temple out of it. Once inside, it looks like a
typical north Indian temple with marble steps. There were statues of Brahma,
Vishnu, Shiv ling, Ganesha, Shirdi Sai baba, Lakshmi, Saraswati, Durga ma &
Hanuman. They were even singing bhajans. We were allowed to perform abhishek
with the guidance of the pujariji, which was wonderful.
Well friends......... this proves that God is one and you can pray to
Ganesha inside a Church I guess.
